As we bid good riddance to 2016, we'll be resolving to be happier and healthier. It's likely that a healthy lifestyle in 2017 is going to look very different and super futuristic. Tech companies are taking health out of the doctor's office and bringing it to the palm of your hand.

From mental to physical health, it's all covered. Gone are the days when you have to call your BFF for late-night advice. Now, apps like Talkspace bring real, licensed therapists to the palm of your hand. Same goes for First Opinion, an app created to save us all from the anxiety that comes with self-diagnosing via WebMD. First Opinion provides users with free advice and treatment prescription with an upgrade. Peloton is an in-home workout system created to provide users with a SoulCycle-like experience (you guessed it) from the comfort of your home. Consumers buy the Peloton bike and simply sign in to participate in live-streamed workout classes.

Bottom line? When it comes to the future of health and wellness, you don't have to leave your home anymore.
